Mr. Horace “John” Beauford, was born in Greenwood, SC on June 24, 1924. He entered the Army in April 1943 for a period of 22 years. Presently his goals are to Maintain good health physically & mentally; share his faith & life story with others. To him the history of WWII will not be forgotten... His ultimate goal is to live to be well over 100 years old...
To help honor and commemorate his legacy and service, he was given from South Carolina Regional Group a BVA Cap and BVA Shirt which he is wearing. A customized card which reflects "Extra Thanks for his honored service" a BVA pin and lastly a BVA Challenge Coin.
Mr. Beauford spends his time on occasion, would go to the schools in his area and tell his stories of "D" Day/ Normandy Landings
